I'm sleepy.

The past month I have been so sleepy. I drag all day long and then at about 9:30 or so I get my second wind and end up staying up till 1 or so. Why? Is this because I'm getting old? I knew it would happen but I didn't expect it at 23 years old! I think I just need to get into a good routine of going to bed on time and getting up on time. I probably hit the snooze button five or more times. Or maybe I need to take vitamins. Oh and the 13 lb weenie dog that sleeps up against me and hogs my whole side of the bed probably doesn't help either! If you get in his way he kicks you at night. Sorry, I got off track. What was I saying? Oh yeah, sleepiness. So what's the best thing to do to wind down at night? What's the best thing to jump start the morning, besides a Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks? (Just typing those words makes me thirsty!)

 Pizza Edition

Peperoni with Roasted Garlic and Tomato

In high school I worked at a pizza place in my little hometown called Bigheart Pizza. My best friends worked there with me. It was so fun and I learned how to cook a few things while I was there. You name the duty and we did it. Usually we had two people working at a time. Between the two of us we were the dishwasher, cook, busser, to-go person, cashier, and waitress! Even though my "Pizza Queen" (that's what we called ourselves) days are behind me I sustained my pizza making skills! I make a number of combinations like: Ham, Sausage, Peperoni, and Mushroom (My guy's favorite.) Pepperoni with Roasted Tomatoes and Garlic (My favorite.) and occasionally Chicken, Bacon, and barbecue. Sounds fattening, right? Well, it is! I'm going to have to start taking Curvatrim if I keep cooking like this!

There's really no secret recipe. I use the Great Value package of pizza crust because it only takes hot water to prepare. I use the Great Value jar of pizza sauce and I buy normal sausage and peperoni from the deli section. The mushrooms are no different. They can be canned or fresh, it's whatever you like. The one thing I do recommend is that you get mozzarella that needs to be grated. It is so much more stringy than the bagged kind. I also like to use grated Parmesan cheese and I like to cook on a pizza stone. The pizza stone gives it a brick oven taste that I think is just heavenly. Do you have a custom pizza you make at home?

Movies: My Sister's Keeper & Avatar

 

I've been behind on my movie watching. Just this past weekend I finally got to see Avatar and My Sister's Keeper. I thought Avatar was just simply amazing! I just can't believe that one man came up with this other entire world! The language, the animals, the plants I was really impressed!

My Sister's Keeper was a pretty rough one. I've been through the death of loved ones due to cancer and I don't think it can ever be easy, no matter how sick or miserable they get. But it was so clear to everyone but the mom what was happening. She was so focused on keeping her alive because she didn't want to do with out her that she never listened to her daughter. It's a tough pill to swallow but it's a good story. What's your favorite movie as of late? See the video clip below.

Diamonds Really Are a Girl's Best Friend

Just looking at diamonds makes me smile. I wonder why that is... There are so many cuts of diamonds and setting in rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. I have only one pair of diamonds and they are beautiful princess cut diamond stud earrings. I love them because my guy got them for me. But I'm getting an itch for more! Patio Dreaming

Someone very dear to me just bought a house with a fabulous back patio. It is covered and has lights all around it and two ceiling fans. Now I'm not trying to step on any toes but I envision an outdoor living room! Have an outdoor rug with with an outdoor sectional couch. There should be a coffee table and maybe a chair or two. I don't know if I would ever want to go inside if I had an awesome outdoor living space. Aaaaahhh... Is it sad that I'm dreaming of outdoor furniture? Let me answer my own question. "Absolutely not!"
