Artsy: Of, involving, or engaged in handicrafts or the decorative arts.
Jill, AKA The Artsy Peacock, has been making the cutest pinwheel hair pins! I saw them on Facebook and just had to know more! About her artsy side, Jill says:
"I have always liked being creative. This is the first time I have made anything worth selling. I saw some hair clips at a store and thought, hey I could make those. So I went and bought some cute fabrics and buttons and started figuring out how to make them. I work for LifeChurch.tv and love being a part of it! I've always loved accessories. Once I posted some pictures and got such positive responses it made me feel confident about what I've made. I will be tithing from all profits made from my accessories."

Einstien, The World's Smallest Horse
This pony might be the cutest thing I've ever seen! Born April 22, 2010, Einstein is the smallest horse in the world. Weighing in at 6 pounds and 14 inches tall, he's got quite the buzz over the past few days. The Breeder from Barnstead, New Hampshire Judy Smith says, "I have been at this for 20 years plus but I have never seen one this tiny or even close to it." Check out the video below.

Artsy: Of, involving, or engaged in handicrafts or the decorative arts.
Through a few artsy friends on Facebook, I've discovered and arts and crafts extravaganza. Using the convenience of your computer you can shop the handmade, custom, and local goods offered at Etsy. I love going to antique malls and arts and crafts expos but this takes it to another level.

Racing Wieners and Squeaking Sheep

| Is this not the cutest picture you've ever seen? Found at The Lost Ogle |
In OKC we have an annual Dachshund Dash. It's exactly as it sounds. Weenie dogs racing their little hearts out. All the proceeds go to help shelters. The races are limited to Doxies but the event is overrun by all dog breeds and their owners. They set up the track in the arena of the Cox Convention Center and vendors setup booths on the concourse. They have all kinds of goodies and information throughout the concourse. My dog, Romo, is apparently a spoiled rotten brat. (As if I didn't know that already!) We made one round trip around the concourse, looking at the booths and petting everyone else's dogs. All of a sudden I realize I am walking alone. I turn around to find my guy pulling on Romo's leash and Romo is sitting down refusing to move! He wasn't fixated on any certain smell, as it usually goes, just sitting. My guy was tugging and Romo wasn't budging. I convinced my very masculine guy to carry our particularly cute weenie dog the rest of the time. Talk about cute!

My Spring/Summer 2010 Favorites
Spring is here! Given the amounts of snow and ice Oklahoma has had this winter, I can hardly curb my enthusiasm for Summer! This spring there are a few staples that will guarantee you a fashionable season. Some key points; ruffles, fringe, neons, and military style. I looked for these accents in stores that almost anyone would have near by. I hate when I'm reading a magazine and everything featured on the page is expensive and impossible to find in my city. So, I've done my homework and I will be going shopping ASAP! Read More for pics and links!

Heartbreak
This little girl's mom writes "This little one comes home from Vacation Bible School in love with her 15 year-old camp counselor, Stephen. After two hours of hysterical crying I had to document this moment for posterity. Oh, and we are about to move to Japan...she wants to take him with us!" It looks like her parents are going to have their hands full if this is starting at 4 years old!

Jessica Simpson Goes Au Naturel for Marie Claire
I love makeup! On the other hand, there's something to be said about a woman who is comfortable and beautiful sans makeup. Jessica Simpson has a new show "The Price of Beauty" that airs on VH1. She travels the world to experience the different ideas of what beauty means for different cultures. In our culture, it seems, beauty comes in the form of photo editing and heavy makeup. I certainly applaud Ms. Simpson for her bravery! It almost encourages me to do the same.

Dapper: neat; trim; smart.- Curtis Stone
He's called "The Take Home Chef" and he just might melt you with his Australian accent. Mr Curtis Stone is, in my opinion, one of the cutest celebrity chefs around. I'm sure you've seen him scouting out grocery store customers and offering to help shop, buy, and cook a wonderful meal on TLC. Lately I've also see him on Biggest Loser, Today Show, and The Celebrity Apprentice. Stone has his own line of kitchen utensils "Kitchen Solutions by Curtis Stone" and a really cute smile. He has a few cookbooks under his belt along with a number of TV appearances. My mom had a magnet on our fridge when I was growing up and I have really found it's motto to be true, "I love a man with dish pan hands!". Links afer the jump!

Who do you think you are?
I can't stop watching the NBC show "Who Do You Think You Are?". It documents different celebrities' journeys through their ancestry. Have you been watching? It's really amazing to see the things that they can find from so long ago. So far they've had Sarah Jessica Parker, Lisa Kudrow, Emmitt Smith, Matthew Broderick, and this week's episode features Brooke Shields. The stories can take you across the country or across the world.
