PASTA! PASTA! PASTA! (read: CARBS! CARBS! CARBS!) I saw an amazing recipe for pasta on The Pioneer Woman. It inspired me to take my own pasta adventure. I don't think I've seen my guy have that many helpings of dinner in all the time we've been together. I'm going to be honest, I did cheat a little and buy a loaf of bread from Homeland that already had garlic butter smeared inside. One of those, stick it the oven for 5 minutes, cheats. It was well worth it! I saved myself time and frustration and was rewarded with the perfect addition to my pasta dinner. This dish doesn't have a name as far as I know. I think I will call it Chicken Bacon Mushroom Linguine.

Dapper: neat; trim; smart.- Channing Tatum
This week's "Dapper" man is Channing Tatum, need I say more? Channing was born in Alabama and moved to Mississippi as a small child. As a teenager he relocated to Florida. In high school Mr. Tatum was quite the athlete, receiving a scholarship to play football for Glenville State College in West Virginia. However, he turned down his scholarship. Later Channing began working as an exotic dancer under the name "Chan Crawford" in a local night club. He then moved to Miami where he was discovered by a talent scout. Tatum began his career as a fashion model before beginning his acting career. For more information on Channing Tatum and his accomplishments you can visit his official Website. I've also included his twitter and facebook pages for further "cyber stalking" after the jump.

Fro Yo: What the cool kids call frozen yogurt.
Have you noticed an increase in frozen yogurt shops in your area? In Oklahoma City I can think of a hand full right off the top of my head. Have you tried it yet? There's a place about a mile away from my neighborhood called Pink Swirls. My first visit was a little awkward. There are huge cups and bowls at the door and then a line of different fro yo flavors all along the wall. I hesitated at first and then just went for it, not even knowing exactly what the rules were.

Turkey Lurkey Doo and Turkey Lurkey Dap
Turkey makes me think of Thanksgiving, turkey legs at the State Fair, and hunting. In the past year however, I have discovered that it's a great staple in my weekly supper menu. It's a great source of protein with only half the saturated fat of that in red meat! I have tried various ways to prepare it and some of my favorites don't quite require a recipe. (See video after the jump to understand the title!)

Dapper: neat; trim; smart.- Reggie Bush
I'm starting a new category called "Dapper". I will be posting a new "Dapper" man to share. For the first installment I've decided on Reggie Bush in honor of the Saints' Superbowl victory.

Supper: A meal taken at the close of the day; the evening meal.
Today was cold, snowy, and wet. The kind of weather that gets rush hour drivers frustrated. What better supper to come home to than a delicious bowl of steaming hamburger soup? Tonight that's what I made! This recipe has been passed down and somewhat edited each time it's been prepared. It's an "eyeball it" type of recipe that you can tailor to your liking.

Superbowl Sunday
Who's coming to your house tonight? Do you even know yet? Are you expected to cook? Well, let me just say that I have answers to MOST of these questions when it comes to my Superbowl plans. The man of the house has invited friends, the number I don't know, and is expecting me to pull off some sort of domestic goddess miracle in a few hours. Thinking back, I know that I asked several times what our plans would be. I went as far as suggesting we host a Superbowl party. Unfortunately I didn't get a response to my inquiries until the day of the big game. With only hours to prepare I find myslef on my couch stalking my friends on Facebook and watching HGTV. Why do I do this to myself? I'm going to pay for it later when I am tempted to choke the slow moving old woman I am destined to be stuck behind in the check out line at the supermarket! Well if you end up scrambling like myself, I know of a few delicious recipes that I will be making that are simple and undoubtedly hungry man pleasers! Follow the link! http://www.oneshetwoshe.com/2010/01/appetizers-my-favorite-artichokespinach.html
